Parking - Do you have the Gift?

I don't know if it was luck, skill, or a secret that he never passed on, but my father had a gift for parking.  In a busy mall parking lot he would just drive up to the front door and find his spot. 9 times out of 10 if there wasn't an empty space,  someone was backing out in time for him to drive right in and park.
I don't remember him doing laps around the lot searching for an empty space, stalking people as they walked to their car, or sitting in gridlock waiting for cars to pull out. But I do it myself all the time.
Even if I decide to park on the outskirts and walk - I take my life in my hands. Many drivers can't see a empty parking space and pedestrians at the same time.
I have cracked the "Get a parking spot by the door thing". It's the gift of the online mall. I buy things through yhoti.com at home, and the delivery truck comes to my front door.
I can find better things to do than stress-out in a Mall parking lot.

Are you shopping online but don't realize it?

My friend Owen said he liked the idea of an online Mall, but he would never use it.
He never shops online, well - maybe some concert tickets, but that was about it.
Then Owen remembered booking hotels, car rentals, and plane tickets for his vacation. The photo albums and calendars his wife Jessie made when they got home. His business cards, the flowers he ordered last minute when he forgot about Valentines Day (don't tell Jessie). The special Wedding gift for his Niece Eileen that he couldn't find locally. He's still remembering others, and he did sign up for yhoti.
Owen is like me and many of our friends. We could (do)  spend days online checking out electronics and sports equipment, software, any big purchase before we hit the stores to buy.  It's like studying for an exam. If you don't pass the test, you can't buy the laptop. 90% of the purchase was made before you got to the store.
I just got tired of making the trip to the store and being disappointed. The demonstration models that weren't missing, were broken. The staff were too busy and the wait for was long enough to think up 10 ways to adapt hunters Moose calls and Duck decoys to use on the sales staff. Think about fast food and Sci-fi convention costumes.
The use of other hunting equipment came to mind when they told me they were out of stock, but they could have one shipped from the warehouse in a few days. A few days?
I went home and ordered one online. It was delivered to my house within 48 hours.
I get why online Malls are the way of the future.
